The students of Magtumguly Turkmen State University successfully performed at the IX International Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics, which was held in Minsk. The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports that they ranked second in the team competitions among representatives of 30 institutions of higher education from different countries of the world.

A fifth-year student Muhammetgeldi Annaev won a gold medal, the third-year students Meilis Myalikov and Mekan Toijanov won silver medals and a fifth-year student Palvan Seidov won a bronze medal. The Turkmen students took the third place in the Brain Ring competition which was held in the framework of the Olympiad.
