World Chess Championship among schoolchildren, where our residents of Turkmenistan won three medals – two “gold” and one “bronze”, has completed in Pattaye in Thailand.
Sixth former of comprehensive school # 35 of Mary Annagozel Mekanova was beyond comparison in group of athletes under 13 years old, who competed for awards in classic competitions.
The second gold medal in composition of the Turkmen team was gained by Leyla Shokhradova, who performed in weight group under 9 years old. Second former of school # 8 of Garashsyzlyk etrap of Lebap province became the best in quick chess game.
Owner of bronze medal became the tenth former of comprehensive school # 7 of Ashgabat Mengli Ovezova. She also distinguished in quick chess game in age group under 17 years old, having accumulated 5 points from 7 possible.
