Recently, the intellectual attainments of our country have been replenished with eight medals of various standards owing to successful participation of the capital’s pupils in the Subject Olympiads of international scale.
One of them - the International Olympiad of scientific projects of young inventors was held in Tbilisi (Georgia). Its participants became nearly 300 pupils from thirty world countries, who presented over hundred scientific projects on six directions.
At this contest of original author's inventions, proposals and technical solutions in the field of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, informatics and innovation technologies, five senior pupils of the Ashgabat schools represented Turkmenistan. Their projects were awarded with a gold and silver medal, as well as three bronze awards.
Participation of schoolchildren in the 49th International Mendeleyev Olympiad on chemistry was crowned with threefold bronze success. In this year, it took place in the capital of Armenia – Yerevan.
In the current year, this annual intellectual contest united over hundred senior pupils from fifteen world states, including from Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Rumania, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
In these intellectual contests, the pupils of secondary specialized school # 86 and State boarding school for gifted children worthily represented our country.
As a good tradition, all winners of this contest were awarded with special invitations from administration of MSU named after M. V. Lomonosov. Owing to them, they will have an opportunity without entrance examination to become in next academic year the first-year students of chemical faculty of the oldest and leading higher educational establishment of Russia.
