Construction of a new kindergarten funded by Turkmen businessmen in a Moldavian village

The ceremony of laying foundation of a new kindergarten that will be built on the initiative of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as a gift to the fraternal people took place in the Chishmikioy village in Vulkanesht district, Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.

President of the Republic of Moldova Nikolai Timofti, head of Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia Irina Vlah, Moldavian parliamentarians as well as the heads of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Moldova, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, Food Industry Association of Turkmenista and other memebers of the Turkmen delegation, who arrived in Moldova on the instructions of the leader of our state. The festive event in the Chishmikioy village that brought together numerous local citizens started with the State Anthems of the two countries.


Opening the festive ceremony, President of the Republic of Moldova Nikolai Timofti emphasized that significant agreements on cooperation in various spheres, in particular cultural and humanitarian areas and business activities, were achieved during his visit to Turkmenistan in April this year. The project on construction of a new kindergarten funded by Turkmenistan vividly exemplifies development of relations in this sphere. It is of particular significance that the ceremony took place on the eve of the International Children’s Day.

Chairman of the Vulkanesht district, Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia Fedor Tarsi expressed sincere gratitude and noted that the wonderful present – a new kindergarten would become a symbol of friendship between our peoples, their spiritual affinity and great future of the bilateral relations.


The representatives of the delegation of Turkmenistan underlined that the meetings of the heads of the two states had provided a powerful incentive to the economic cooperation between Moldova and Turkmenistan. Within the first four months of the current year, the trade turnover between the two states has increased as much as three times as compare to the same period of the last year coming around to the turnover rates in 2014.

Upon completion of the solemn ceremony, the President of the Republic of Moldova, head of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia and Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan laid the first stone of the new educational complex that will meet modern requirements and satisfy the standards set to preschool institutions.
