Turkmen ju-jutsu practitioners displayed the outstanding sportsmanship at the Central and South Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championships, which took place in the Indian city of Bangalore. They won 14 medals, including eight gold, two silver and four bronze medals, in the competitions that brought together athletes from 11 countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, among others.

The women’s team made a profound contribution – five gold medals – to the receptacle of the sporting achievements of our country. The men’s team won one gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

The Turkmen athletes won two gold, two silver and one bronze medals in the self-defense demonstration in the duo competitions.

Thus, the sportsmen coached by Honoured Coaches of Turkmenistan Ata Adaev and Omar Muhammetnazarov ranked first in the team competitions in the women’s tournament and second in the men’s tournament.
