Turkmenistan-Switzerland Business Forum aimed at building up bilateral cooperation, in particular in the sphere of development of the trade and economic relations, business activities and scientific and technological partnership took place in Zurich.
Representatives of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country participated in the meeting. Specialists of state agencies and more than 30 companies working in the oil and gas, power energy, construction and architecture, engineering and railway sectors, if the spheres of information technologies, international cargo transportation and food industry represented Switzerland at the meeting.
Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the introduction of advanced technologies and equipment into production sector in Turkmenistan, cooperation in infrastructural and processing industries. In particular, emphasis was put on the new technological solutions and services in the fuel and energy complex, textile industry, construction, food industry, scientific and applied research, etc.
Within the framework of the forum, Turkmen specialists visited some Swiss enterprises, including Burckhardt Compression and Sulzer Chemtech specializing in the oil and gas sector, Walo Bertschinger – construction of roads, railways and underground facilities as well as MAN Diesel & Turbo Schweiz AG, a leading company in Europe manufacturing diesel and generator sets and other equipment. Our specialists got acquainted with technological lines, visited scientific and laboratory centres and exchanged commercial offers.
The business meeting was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Joint Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Russia/CIS as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the City Hall of Zurich.
