An issue of Galkynysh Journal of Austria-Turkmenistan Society presented

The presentation of the next issue of Galkynysh Journal of Austria-Turkmenistan Society that contributes significantly to strengthening friendly relations between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Austria and establishing close business relationships and fruitful contacts in the spheres of culture, art and information exchange took place at the International University of Humanities and Development in Ashgabat.

This issue of Galkynysh Journal of Austria-Turkmenistan Society includes the articles and photo materials which allow the readers to learn about our country and get information on the history, cultural traditions and customs of the Turkmen people, the achievements and accomplishments of modern Turkmenistan.


Speaking at the presentation, Chairperson of Austria-Turkmenistan Society Neda Berger emphasized the great interest of Austria’s public circles in Turkmenistan, determined by a number of factors, particularly including the open door policy and the strategy for wide international cooperation pursued by the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Austria-Turkmenistan Society was founded in the autumn of 2008. Since then, a number of important joint projects, including Galkynysh Journal and the Galkynysh Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra, have been implemented and meetings, presentations and exhibitions are held on a regular basis. The major cultural events include performances of Turkmen cultural and art workers in Vienna - one of the cultural capitals of Europe and the Vienna Opera Ball in Ashgabat.
