Foundation laying ceremony of maternity hospital was held in Turgundy settlement of Herat province of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The Turkmen delegation has taken part in it. The maternity hospital will be constructed with a view of rendering by Turkmenistan to the brotherly Afghani people of the humanitarian aid in the field of development of public health services.

Throughout all last years, Turkmenistan within the framework of effective bilateral agreements realizes a number of projects, including on maintenance of the Afghani people on a preferential basis with the electric power as well as liquefied gas.

During the last years, within the framework of the concluded contracts, our specialists have constructed a number of objects of power supply, including substation and power transmission lines, which network will extend in future as well. Turkmenistan also renders free aid to the Afghani citizens in the sphere of education and public health. The funds of the Turkmen party were used in Afghanistan particularly for construction of the health center and school.

With a view of rendering of the humanitarian help to the brotherly country on a systematic basis, a program providing a complex of corresponding actions, including construction of objects of social implication, shopping centre opening, delivery of humanitarian cargoes etc. is prepared.
