The State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan and Turkmen National Conservatory were the firsts among higher educational institutions that finished the relay race of entrance examinations. Preparation of “opera art” specialty will be conducted for the first time at the Turkmen national conservatory, where professional education is carried out in 14 directions.
“The history of opera art”, “Opera dramatic art”, “Opera class”, etc. are among subjects in this direction. These disciplines will be conducted by skilled instructors - national and honored artists, figures of arts of Turkmenistan, senior lecturers of departments.
- Revival of opera “Shasenem and Garip” and its representation to spectator in 2008 became original “reference point” in the process of revival of opera art of our country, - tells Mammetmurat Annamuradov, the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, the senior teacher of solo singing and opera art department. - It was followed by other premières as well. In their restoration, as well as in a stage embodiment of modern performances, the assistance of the main adviser - the People’s Actress, Hero of Turkmenistan Maya Kulieva became invaluable. Being really a legend of a Turkmen stage, Maya Kulieva by right became the role model for the future generations of opera performers.
Entrance examinations are already behind and I would like to note that the members of a selection committee tried choose best of the best. All our entrants are the graduates of secondary specialized musical educational institutions, who possess necessary base knowledge and skills for continuation of study at high school. It is pleasant that very talented representatives of youth from all regions of the country competed for the right to become the first-year students of a new direction of specialization “opera art”. The girl have especially pleased with the vocal abilities, excellently performing the parts from national operas and well-known productions of foreign composers.
