It was published a regular, second number of quarterly scientific-practical magazine “Foreign policy and diplomacy of Turkmenistan” prepared for publication by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. The edition is published in Turkmen, Russian and English languages.
Magazine is opened with traditional rubric, covering in chronological succession, beginning from April of this year, a brief review of meetings and negotiations held by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with high leadership and high-ranking representatives of several foreign states.
The special attention in new issue of magazine was paid to one of the main events of the year - a meeting of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Secretary General of the United Nations Organization Mr. Pan Gi-Mun, who has visited Turkmenistan with official visit in the middle of June of this year.
The actions devoted to upcoming in December of this year the jubilee – the 20th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan gained extended coverage on pages of popular magazine.
It is remarkable that in the jubilee year on June 3, at the 69th session of General Assembly of the United Nations Organization, it was unanimously approved and repeatedly adopted the Resolution «Permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan”. Thus, the General Assembly has declared again about its support of the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and urged the UN member states to respect and support this status, to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Turkmenistan.
The magazine, having a large readership both in the country and abroad, attaches special place to articles of the well-known foreign politicians, outstanding scientific and social figures, diplomats, stating their judgments about development, achievements and successes of modern Turkmenistan as well as prospects of development of interstate relations. Present number included the articles of the Director of the Center of strategic researches at the President of Republic of Azerbaijan Farhad Mammadov, heads of the International Institute of Strategic Researches “Vector” of the Russian Federation Andrey and Alexander Hrienko, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan Sjao Tsinhua.
Undoubtedly, the materials devoted to energy and water diplomacy of independent neutral Turkmenistan, which builds constructive international dialogue on the basis of the balance of interest of all its participants, responsible and cautious attitude to natural resources and ecology will be of great interest for readers.
