Turkmen-Iranian Business Forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan took place in Mizan Business Centre in Ashgabat.
The forum brought together representatives of core ministries and departments of our country and the Union of Industrialists and Manufacturers of Turkmenistan. The heads and representatives of Iranian companies specializing in the fuel and energy complex, construction materials production, chemical industry and agriculture, in particular Pars Pegah Tejarat, Iritec, Sadid Group and others were invited to the forum as guests.
An interested exchange of views on the status and prospects of cooperation took place during the meeting. In particular, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Seyed Mohammad Musa Hashemi Golpaegani reaffirmed the willingness of IRI businessmen in cooperation with Turkmenistan as a state that possesses huge resource and economic potential and has won the reputation of a reliable and strong partner.
The fuel and energy sector, trade and economic sphere, chemical industry, agriculture and food industry were specified among the priority areas of cooperation.
The guests noted that favourable conditions and wide opportunities for business development and foreign investments in our country strengthen the interest of Iranian businessmen in building up cooperation with Turkmen partners.
Turkmenistan-Iran Business Forum provided a platform for meetings between representatives of various agencies and business circles of the two neighbouring countries who discussed topical issues relating to the development of new joint projects aimed at strengthening economic ties.
