In these August days, in the Bulgarian city – Plovdiv, it is held the World Taekwondo Championship (ITF version) among men and women, where our national team won the first medal - bronze. Myahri Agayeva has achieved this success in discipline “individual tuli” (complex exercises).

About thousand masters of the Korean martial art from more than 80 countries take part in the championship of a planet. Besides competitions on tuli, the master of sports, owner of a black belt (I dan) Myahri Agayeva has to compete for medals in individual sparring in a weight class up to 51 kilograms and stage self-defense.


Another Turkmen sportsman, owner of a black belt (II dan) Annamyrat Goshaniyazov started his performance with a victory at the World Championship. In starting fight of a weight class up to 57 kilograms, he knocked out the taekwondo athlete from the team of Argentina. Besides, Annamyrad also will take part in competitions on tuli and stage self-defense.

The national team of Turkmenistan included the master of sports of the international class, student of the State Institute of Culture Gaygysyz Atabayev (I dan), who will compete for medals in three disciplines of taekwondo ITF, and Orazberdy Annamyradov (I dan) - individual sparring.

Competitions will last until August 30.
