Special courses entitled “Achievements of neutral Turkmenistan within 20 years” for foreign young diplomats have begun in Ashgabat. Action of such format is held in the country for the first time and timed to the 20th Anniversary since obtaining of the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, being celebrated in this year.
Representatives of foreign-policy departments of India, Turkey, Pakistan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia and Tajikistan became the participants of courses opened today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
In the opening ceremony of the forum, it was underlined its significance in realization of the doctrine of permanent neutrality. The current year of 2015 was announced in Turkmenistan as the Year of Neutrality and Peace.
The topic of neutrality also prevails in the content of lectures and seminars for young foreign diplomats, which within a week will take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, International University of the Humanities and Development, the UN Regional Center for preventive diplomacy in the Central Asia, Turkmen National Institute of Democracy and Human rights at the President of Turkmenistan, Institute of Strategic Planning and Economic Development.
Students of the courses will be acquainted with contemporary history of our country, aspects of foreign policy of the sovereign Turkmen state, historical, political, legal bases of Turkmen neutrality, features of Turkmen diplomatic service and specificity of training of diplomatic workers in Turkmenistan.
Experienced Turkmen diplomats, ambassadors and scientists were invited for lecturing and holding of seminars. Within the framework of courses, their attendees will hold meetings with Turkmen colleagues and presentations, exchange their professional knowledge and skills.
