The presentation of the third volume of the encyclopaedia Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan by Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Academician, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov published in the Korean language was held in the framework of the X International Book Fair at the Sergi Kosgi Exhibition Centre.
The media representatives and health professionals from Turkmenistan, cultural workers and members of the Korean delegation attended the presentation.
Chairperson of Korea-Central Asia Friendship Association of Friendship Lee Ok Ryun, who was participating in the presentation, noted that the first and second volumes of the encyclopaedia Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan that were translated into the Korean language in 2012 had been distributed among about 2,000 institutions, including research centres, educational institutions and libraries.
Those speaking at the presentation focused on the invaluable importance of thorough research conducted by the leader of the Turkmen state to study the healing properties of the plants as well as the growing interest in medicinal plants and medicines produced from them. Therefore, the encyclopaedia Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan has attracted attention of scientists from different countries. This remarkable scientific work is translated into dozens of foreign languages, including Korean, Chinese, Japanese and the languages of Europe and Asia. Three volumes of the encyclopaedia are available for Korean readers on their native language.
