The Turkmen judokas won the gold, silver and two bronze medals of the international tournament in Tehran. The sportsmen from nine countries, including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria and Tajikistan had competed for the medals.

M. Artykov (under 60 kg) gained four victories and won the gold medal. A. Ergeshov became the bronze-medal winner in this weight category.

N. Yalkabov (under 90 kg) gained three victories and ranked the second in his weight category. S. Jummyev (under 81 kg) won the bronze medal.

The winners are the students of the National Institute of Sport and Tourism. The experienced judokas and coaches T. Amandurdyev and G. Nurmuhamedov prepared the sportsmen for the tournament.
