The National Cadet and Junior Championships of Turkmenistan started in Balkanabat. Over 80 sportsmen from Ashgabat and all the regions of the country are participating in the tournament. The competitions are held on the area of the sports complex of the Balkanabat children’s and youth sports School.

The young fencers compete for the title in the sabre and foil categories. The competitions will last till February 26.

The best sportsmen will form the national team that will represent our country in the World Junior Fencing Championships which will be held in Moscow in late March-early April.
