Interactive dialogue to the topic “Summit of sustainable development in New York and foreign-policy initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan” was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Workers of foreign-policy department of the country, representatives of foreign mass media accredited to Turkmenistan, editor-in-chief of national newspapers and magazines, teachers and students of international journalism faculty of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in the event.
At the meeting, it was considered in practical aspect the key positions of the speech of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the Summit on development after 2015 and positions of Turkmenistan sounded by the nation leader. Participants of the dialogue, underlining the readiness of our country to make significant contribution to the solution of vital problems of the present, have discussed concrete measures, which could be taken at national level for achievement of goals of new Global Agenda-2030 and implementation of initiatives of the head of Turkmen state.
During interactive dialogue, it was given the answers and comments to questions of journalists of foreign news agencies, such as NSA-News Central Asia, “France Press”, newspaper “Zaman-Turkmenistan”, Turkish broadcasting company “TRT”, etc. Noting the importance of the international initiatives of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for search of ways for maintenance of sustainable development of the planet, the acted journalists focused attention on active actions of our country within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
At the meeting, it was underlined that participation of Turkmenistan’s delegation at the head of the nation leader in the 70th Session of General Assembly of the United Nations Organization in New York became one more acknowledgement of political will of the independent neutral state, confidently declaring about readiness to bear responsibility for the future fate of the world and human civilization.
