The success in the World Championship has defined for national team of Turkmenistan the first place in the team event. And it is not surprising, as belt wrestling is primordially Turkmen national kind of sports. Any large competition of international level including the championships of the planet provides numerous medals for our wrestlers.

Vivid example to that became the 12th World Belt Wrestling Championship and the First World Championship on Turkmen national wrestling goresh taken place in the last year in Ashgabat. In total, the residents of Turkmenistan have won 45 medals, 16 of which are gold, 14 silver and 15 bronze. It is an unconditional first place in the team event.

Goresh was involved into the program of V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts, which will be held in 2017 in the Turkmen capital. It attaches the confidence that our national team will show the great skill there as well. Competitions on belt wrestling - alysh, also will be presented in classical Asian games, which will take place in 2018 in Indonesia.
