Regular bilateral political consultations urged to promote further development of traditionally friendly Turkmen-American relations, expansion of interstate partnership. On the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, the delegation of our country left for the United States of America to participate in it.
Turkmenistan successfully develops productive ties both with neighboring countries and states located in all other regions of planet. In this aspect, a great significance is attached to the deepening and expansion of fruitful interaction with the United States of America, which our country considers as one of the strategic partners. Thus, the important role is given to the strengthening of constructive interstate political dialogue that is the integral factor of further activation of the Turkmen-American cooperation, bringing it to qualitatively new level, meeting the modern realities.
One of priority vectors of bilateral interaction, is, certainly, trade and economic relations. Vigorous activity of Business Council “Turkmenistan-USA” plays significant role in development of economic relations. With its direct participation, it is organized on a regular basis the business meetings and forums, other events aimed at optimization and diversification of bilateral partnership, stimulation of investment activity. The spheres of transport and communications, energy sector, agriculture, area of innovative technologies and others are also among perspective directions of the Turkmen-American cooperation.
Fruitful humanitarian contacts, including in the field of education, science and culture is of not less important component of interstate relations. Traditional Turkmen-American dialogue in these areas got its embodiment in a number of joint projects and actions, among which – the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the United States of America and the USA - in Turkmenistan. These actions, being organized on a regular basis, make great contribution to rapprochement of the people of two countries, strengthening of ties of friendship and mutual understanding between them. In a context of priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan, there are good possibilities for cooperation in sports and tourism areas as well.
As significant aspect of the Turkmen-American relations is also the partnership in the issues of maintenance of universal peace, safety and stability, counteraction to global calls and threats, which are a subject of concern of all mankind. Taking the most direct part in development of the balanced decisions of actual problems of the present, neutral Turkmenistan in practice shows adherence to wide international cooperation in this direction. Bright evidence of this fact is the constructive initiatives of our country, including initiatives sounded by the nation leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov at the jubilee 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
