In administrative centre of Mary velayat, solemn opening of Week of culture of the Chinese city of Sian of Shanxi province of the PRC has taken place
The Chinese delegation arrived in Turkmenistan included the heads and representatives of sphere of culture and mass-media, Sian city administration, as well as Friendship Societies, artists of Sian theatre of song and dance.
Solemn opening of Week of culture has taken place on a central square, in front of the building of Mary velayat library - successor of the largest libraries of Ancient Merv - the genuine centers of science, education and culture.
For meeting with art of the friendly country, the heads of velayat and city administration, culture and art workers, representatives of mass-media, the wide public, the elders and youth have gathered here.
In salutatory performances the importance of the present creative action in friendship strengthening, mutual enrichment of cultures and mutual understanding of two nations, expansion of humanitarian dialogue has been underlined.
Upon completion of an official part, the concert of the Chinese art masters has taken place. Week of culture of the city of Sian also includes photo-exhibition, which will open tomorrow in the museum of History and local lore of Mary velayat, master classes of representatives of the Chinese fine arts for young Mary artists, and concert of the Chinese artists.
The concert of friendship of masters of culture and art of twin towns which will take place on October, 17th on the scene of the State drama theatre named after Kemine will become a final chord of the creative action.
The cultural program including visit of the State historical and cultural reserve “Ancient Merv”, other sightseeings of the velayt centre is envisaged for the guests.
