The ceremony of assignment to workers of science and arts of a rank of the professor with delivery of diplomas of corresponding sample has taken place at the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Representatives of the Ministry of Education, scientific circles of the country, higher educational establishments, and mass media took part in the solemnity.

Higher Attestation Committee of Turkmenistan, which competence includes assignment of scientific degrees, is functioning at the Academy of Sciences. According to its decision, the rank of professor was received by the teachers, representing leading higher educational intuitions of our country - Turkmen State University named after Mahtumkuli, International Oil and Gas University, Turkmen State Institute of Economy and Management, International Turkmen-Turkish University, Turkmen National Conservatory and Turkmen Agricultural University.

As the ceremony participants underlined, the development of national science is a necessary condition of socio-economic progress of the country, prosperity of Turkmen society, and stimulation of scientific thought in establishments of higher education, research institutes as well as in the Center of Technologies promotes disclosing of intellectual potential of the nation.

The persons awarded with ranks of professor represent the most different fields of knowledge both humanitarian, and technical direction - history, social philosophy, geography, construction of hydraulic engineering structures, etc., but all of them are united with burning desire to bring benefit for the country.
