Students of the State Medical University presented the results of biotechnological research during the conference on the development of biotechnology. The students’ forum was organized by the Research Centre and the Research Medical Biotechnology Centre of the State Medical University.

The students delivered the reports with the colourful presentations using multimedia technologies. The overview of the development of medical nanotechnologies and biotechnologies were of particular interest to the audience.

A number of the research works were dedicated to the healing properties of medicinal herbs growing in the territory of our country. In particular, the reports on the possible use of Turkmen juniper in transplantology, the bactericidal effect of Maclura pomifera, the manufacturing of medical products from Ferula gum to cure of skin diseases and other presentations on the wide spectrum of issues of scientific interest aroused keen interest among future health professionals.
