In the capital’s Exhibition Center “Sergi Koshgi”, it was opened International Trade Exhibition organized by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Turkish Company “Meridyien”.
Participation in it of nearly 80 national and foreign companies from Turkey, Russia, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Japan, France, Armenia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the USA, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and others shows the scale of exposition devoted for the first time to whole spectrum of international trade and world tendencies in this sphere.
In Exhibition Center, there are the stands demonstrating the successes attained by the country in the sphere of trade and reflecting the role of foreign-trade activity in the development of world economic ties. Positive development dynamics of the sector is confirmed by growth of foreign-trade turnover and investments, creation of import replacing and export-oriented productions, opening in the country of increasing number of modern trade centers.
Among participants of the opening ceremony of exhibition are the leadership of the Parliament, members of government, officials and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, sectoral departments, social organizations and mass media.
Distinctive peculiarity of exposition is its diversified nature, allowing the representatives of national trade and business circles to familiarize with products and services of foreign leading enterprises, to organize dialogue with potential partners, to represent worthily their “product”, and increasing export possibilities.

At the exhibition, it was presented the stands of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Trade and foreign-economic ties of Turkmenistan, State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of our country. Among “beginners” of Expo Center, there is National Organization on bar codes, which in the current year, became a member of International Organization “GSI” (Global Standard), and our country was granted with relevant bar code.
Sports – one of popular and vital topics of the exhibition, gaining particular significance in the light of active preparation of Turkmenistan for upcoming in 2017 in Ashgabat of V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts. Exposition presents sport cloth and accessories, coverings for sport structures, stocks.
Rich spectrum of cosmetic and perfume products attract special attention. Furniture manufacturers also hope to win popularity on the Turkmen market. Pavilions, demonstrating the attainments of chemical industry as well as new technologies in production of consumer goods, are of great interest as well.
