At the National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan, it was held the celebration in honor of the 21-year-old master of sports from Ashgabat Diyar Hojayev, who has established new world record in nomination “the fastest victory” at fudokan-karate competitions. At the Open Cup of Russia on this kind of martial arts held recently in Tolyatti, our compatriot in one of the duels has won a victory over the contender on the 7th second. D. Hojayev in this tournament won 3 medals, 2 of which are gold and one silver.
Members of the government, representatives of the State Committee for sports, National Olympic Committee, Executive Committee of V Asian Indoor Games and Martial arts, leading sportsmen and instructors, political scientists, student youth, mass-media came to congratulate the Turkmen sportsman. In solemn atmosphere, it was sounded the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on granting to Diyar Hojayev of the monetary award at a rate of 5 thousand US dollars.
The pupil of the Honored Coach of the country Hangeldy Hojayev within his sports career took part in various tournaments of the international level, including the World and Asian Championships. Practically, in each of these competitions, he won a place on a podium. As a result, Diyar Hojayev augmented the achievements in sport of Turkmenistan with 43 medals, 12 of which gold, 15 silver and 16 bronze medals.
Presently, he also replenished his achievements with new world record on speed of gaining the victory, which he has provided for himself with kick “ura-mawashi-geri” – kick with foot heel to head with turn by 360 degrees. According to rules of the competitions, being held under the aegis of the World Fudokan Federation (WFF), it is estimated as “pure victory”.
Valuable gifts on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov also have been handed over to other sportsmen of our national team, who distinguished in the Open Cup of Russia on fudokan-karate. They are Rustem Annayev, Eymur Mademinov, Nurgeldy Annagurbanov, Gochmyrad Gurbanberdiyev, Selim Myratdurdiyev, Aybahar Nurjikova and Zuhrajan Jumabayeva.
