Children’s Health Centers located in Gokdere, are actively operating both in summer and winter periods. In these January days, thousands of children from all parts of our country have a rest here. Involvement of the youth in healthy life-style is one of main tasks set before Children’s Health Centers. Therefore, all conditions were created here for schoolchildren to train every day and participate in the sport contests between teams of the health centers.
One of such complex competitions hosted hundreds of participants on sport bases of Children’s Health Centers “Chinar” and “Nesil”. The competitions were organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, State Committee for sports, Youth Physical-sport Organization “Turkmenistan” and Archabil etrap municipality of Ashgabat. The strongest will be determined in competitions on national game duzzim, chess, athletics (4 disciplines), cycling, tug of war as well as hockey.
Hockey matches took place on artificial ice arena of CHC “Chinar”. Since the opening of the Health Center, this “ice” - the most popular place among young visitors. So, in the current competitions, the hockey arena became the center that united the fans of this kind of sport. And even the young participants did not have the professional skills of managing the hockey sticks, but their dedication and desire to win have become a real sports gift for many viewers - such as young and full of life as they are.
As a result of these competitions, the first place was gained by hockey players of CHC “Nesil”. “Silver” belongs to young campers from Children’s Health Center “Shohle” and the team of CHC “Beyik Serdar nesilleri” closed the top three.
Winter sport contests in Gokdere are going on. On January 9, the competitions will be continued in order to determine only the strongest in national game duzzim, chess, volleyball, basketball and table tennis.
