At the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, it was held a seminar “Scientific-methodological foundation of teaching at the secondary comprehensive schools” for teachers from the capital and regions, specialists of the vilayet education managements. The seminar was conducted by foreign specialists – Uehara Tatsuhiko (Japan) and Shufang Liu (China), as well as Turkmen teachers - researchers of the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan. They have familiarized the participants with the program on teaching Japanese and Chinese languages from 5th to 12th forms.
As the senior lecturer of eastern languages department of TNIWL named after D. Azadi Kabegul Meredova noted, a series of educational seminars similar to the January one will be continued. In spring, the teachers of Chinese and Japanese languages will have weekly advanced training courses, and in summer period, it is planned longer trainings for mentors of children.
In training courses for school teachers and specialists of higher educational institutions, it is trained highly qualified interpreters in Japanese and Chinese languages. The matter is about Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, where the specialty “Chinese language and literature” replenished the areas of vocational training in 2008-2009 academic year as well as the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, which started the teaching of the students in Chinese and Japanese, respectively, in 1993 and 2007.
Teaching staff of TNIWL named after D. Azadi, researchers at the National Institute of Education, and directly the native language speakers worked out a program of teaching the Chinese and Japanese languages in secondary comprehensive schools. It is prepared the textbooks, manuals including in electronic format as well.
As you know, these two language subjects from next 2016-2017academic year, beginning from the fifth form, will be learnt by pupils of a number of specialized secondary schools located in all regions of our country. The decision to expand the range of languages learnt both by schoolchildren and students of higher educational institutions belongs to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. On September 18 of the last year, at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, touching upon the topic of further comprehensive reformation of the national education sphere, the head of state noted that taking into account the active development of international cooperation, the learning of foreign languages becomes more and more priority.
