Recently, in the capitals of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, it was completed av large International Boxing Tournaments, where the Turkmen sportsmen won bronze medals. In the competitions held in Minsk, Bayramhan Permanov (weight category up to 52 kg) rose on the third step of the podium, and owner of the bronze medal in Bishkek became Arslanbek Achilov (up to 75 kg).
Belarusian tournament, being held already for the 14th time, hosted more than 100 boxers from nearly 20 countries - Russia, Greece, Tunisia, Ecuador, Latvia and others. Teams put on for fights their best athletes, who, in fact, passed in Minsk original examination. In the near future, they will have to perform in the qualifying tournaments, where they will compete for the right to participate in upcoming in August of this year in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) Olympics. And it is very pleasant that in this uncompromising fight, our compatriot – Bayramhan Permanov demonstrated his high skills.
The athlete of Coaches Geldimyrat Annaorazov and Murad Jumayev first performed on the international sport arena in composition of the national team of Turkmenistan. Previously, the student of the International Turkmen-Turkish University was a part of the junior team, and now, a medal gained in the tournament of adult athletes will give the young Perman confident mood for victory in next competitions.
Arslanbek Achilov became the owner of many awards, including the gold medals, gained at various competitions of international level. “Bronze” – at competitions in Bishkek, which was held with participation of about 100 boxers from 10 countries, shows good sport shape of the athlete of Honored Coaches of Turkmenistan Shohrat Kurbanov and Sabir Kseyhanov.
Now A.Achilov - student of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism, just like as B.Permanov, will have to compete next week for a place in the national team. Beginning from 17 till 21st of February there will be held a championship of Turkmenistan at the "Galkynysh" sports complex, by the results of which there will defined contenders to the trips to Rio de Janeiro.
There are two qualifying tournaments are scheduled ahead. From March 23 till April 3 there will be held fights in China with participation of the strongest boxers of Asia and Oceania, where only the prize-winning places provide the title an "Olympian". Those who will gain 4-6 places will have another chance to win a ticket to the Olympics qualifiers.
