Turkmen students successfully participated in the International Mathematical Olympiad

They have won four medals of the student competition, which ended in Protaras, in the Republic of Cyprus.

The intellectual contest of “the queens of exact sciences” admirers were attended 24 national teams from Macedonia, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Iran, Uzbekistan and other countries in the world. Our country was represented the inter-university national team consisting of the students of the International University of the Humanities and Development, the International Oil and Gas University, the Turkmen State Institute of Energy, and the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.

Turkmen students demonstrated one of the best team results. Two silver medals were awarded to Toremyrat Gurbanov and Nura Atadjanov, the third year students of the energy and agricultural institutes. There are two third places in the intellectual contests of our team achievements. Bronze Olympics medals are awarded to Eziz Eminov, a first- year student from the International University of the Humanities and Development, and Mekan Khojayev from the Turkmen State Institute of Energy. One of the leaders of the Turkmen team, Pirmurad Gurbanov, a specialist of the computer technology department at the International University of the Humanities and Development was a part of international jury.

During their stay in Cyprus, the representatives of Turkmen students got acquainted with the history and culture of Cypriots. They visited museums, and the city’s sightseeing.
