These days a delegation headed by the special representative of the European Union in Central Asia Peter Buriyan is on a visit in Turkmenistan. During the meetings carried out in the Mejlis, Turkmen national institute of democracy and human rights at the President of Turkmenistan, and also some ministries and departments of the country, an interesting exchange of opinions on prospects of further development of the long-term successful partnership built on principles of trust, equality and mutual benefit has taken place.

Highly appreciating a peaceful foreign policy conducted by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Peter Buriyan with satisfaction ascertained that traditional Turkmenistan-EU dialogue have raised to a qualitatively new level. In particular, the exchange of delegations at various levels has become considerably active, business, scientific and cultural contacts become stronger and expand, some of important joint projects are realized and a number are being realized.

Participants of the meetings carried out in Ashgabat have discussed a progress of earlier reached arrangements, as well as actual aspects of interaction on a number of key directions taking into account available huge potential and the saved up positive experience of joint work.

Thereupon the importance of regular conduction of political consultations, business meetings and negotiations promoting formation of a reliable platform for further intensification of multi-sided relations of Turkmenistan with the European partners has been especially underlined.

The visit schedule of the European Union delegation provides sightseeings of the Turkmen capital, as well as carrying out of some meetings in separate ministries and departments of our country.
