Shady public gardens are perfectly blend with the city environment and are fine addition to a landscape architecture of the cities. It is a necessary element of creation of a microclimate and improvement of sanitary-and-hygienic condition of inhabitancy. Cultural-aesthetic value of the green plantings having salutary influence on health and feeling of the person is great.

Within the framework of realization of the National Wood Program of Turkmenistan, in the country, it is annually planted three million trees, smoothly grown up saplings of coniferous and deciduous. There is a constant replenishment of specific structure of landscaping plantations of trees and bushes with new steady to local climate and valuable to economy kinds of medicinal, decorative and useful plants. Employees of the Ashgabat Botanical Garden of the Institute of Biology and Medicinal plants of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan are engaged in introduction and acclimatization of plants, that is their primary test in irrigation conditions of hot climate for the purpose of revealing of the steadiest and perspective for the subsequent use. Within years of researches, the botanists only for gardening have acclimatized and recommended tens kinds of valuable plants. One of them - beautifully blossoming bush for the winter-spring period that became for a long time habitual attribute of city gardening.

Jasmin has come to us from Northern China. Nearly five-metre high deciduous bush of the roundish form with long thin, virgate hanging branches and improbably fragrant flowers is favorite for gardeners. It effectively looks well in any “interior” of park. In local conditions, the plant behaves as half-evergreen; the first flowers appear long before leaves - in January, and the last - in the beginning of April. Flowering of Jasmin is improbably fragrant, and welcomes spring earlier than all other bushes in Ashkhabad.

It grows rather quickly, resistant to high summer temperatures and colds in winter, dryness of air, annually plentifully blossoms, fructifies. The plant breeds by root offsprings, under our conditions – by cutting. It is a fine bush for creation of the low not formed soft green hedges and borders, for covering of slopes, adornment of stony hills.
