The International Furniture and Household Goods Exhibition was arranged in the Exhibition Hall at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The specialized forum that demonstrated the latest developments, assortment opportunities and levels of competitiveness of manufacturers in this segment of the national economy aimed at exchanging experiences and promoting advanced technologies.
The pavilions of domestic and foreign exhibitors showcased the samples of furniture sets and accessories of modern designs and trends.
The furniture production in our country is mainly the area of work for private enterprises – the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs that successfully apply advanced technologies with the substantial support of the government.
The pavilions and exposition arranged on the exhibition area of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs vividly demonstrated this. They presented a wide range of home interior products, including furniture for living rooms, bedrooms, children’s rooms, kitchens, exclusive furniture, bedding sets, décor items and many other articles. Furniture and accessories for offices and gardens as well as building materials were also exhibited there.
The leaders of Turkmenistan’s furniture industry – the Aybolek factory that manufactures a wide range of products, the large-scale enterprises Abrayly onum and Cigildempavilions exhibited upholstered and cabinet furniture.
The Abrayly onum enterprise that started to production of upholstered furniture in March, 2011 quickly gained popularity on the domestic market. Now, its import-substituting products – upholstered furniture of various sizes, styles and complexity, and matrasses made based on individual orders are in high demand among people of Turkmenistan.
The Cigildem enterprise uses the advanced technologies for manufacturing orthopaedic mattresses, upholstered furniture for bedrooms from environmentally friendly materials and multi-functional furniture for educational institutions and social sphere. The enterprise showcased its new products – bedding sets and prefabricated gas stoves.
The Maru AGOS private enterprise showcased its developments in the manufacturing of built-in furniture, door frames and other furniture.
Some entrepreneurs presented preschool furniture products for pre-school children. Among them were the Durmus Dowamy private enterprise that manufactures wooden beds, cribs, desks, tables and chairs, swings and other furniture that promote children’s development. The exhibitors included the Furniture Centre of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations. The Furniture Centre presented a wide range of furniture products that it offers to citizens and guests of the capital city.
The Armenian-Italian company Woodland presented a wide range of home and office furniture products and doors at the Ashgabat furniture exhibition for the first time. A new exhibitor at the Ashgabat furniture exhibition – the Turkish company Lajivert occupied a large pavilion showcasing original furniture for children’s rooms, including cribs and cots, and bright kitchen furniture and other products.
The exhibition stands displayed a wide range of household goods and building and finishing materials. Manufacturers offered various design and manufacturing solutions of windows and doors, interior decor, drapes and window coverings of modern and classic designs, ready-made solutions for reconstruction and renewal of housing and technical facilities. Among them were the Sahym Sa business society, the private enterprises Erjel Begenc, Sary Agac, Boostan Tile and Eyya. The Yigit business society distributed household chemicals of the Bioks trademark.
Following the tradition, Turkmen applied and fine arts, carpets and carpet articles, accessories and souvenirs produced by Turkmen entrepreneurs were showcased at the Ashgabat furniture exhibition. The wonderful samples of wool and silk carpets and carpet articles, accessories, embroidery and ceramic articles designed in national styles that would adorn luxury interiors aroused keen interest among visitors to the Ashgabat exhibition.
The Ashgabat furniture exhibition provided a platform for numerous meetings to facilitate exchange of experience, demonstrate new achievements and innovations in furniture industry as well as establish partner relations and bring products manufactured in Turkmenistan to world markets.
