It is completed the 8th Asian Taekwon-do ITF Championships among the juniors and adults which was held in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan), where our sportsmen demonstrated the mastery by winning 20 medals-4 of which are gold, 6 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This achievement put Turkmenistan team in third place in team event.
Among Turkmen Taekwon-do sportsmen with distinguished achievements is a competitor among the juniors Orazmyrat Charyyev from Mary. He fought for medals in five disciplines; each was successfully ended following the entrance to the final competition. As a result, Charyyev O. won 3 gold, and 2 silver medals. These are the best results among all competitors of Asia.
As a matter of fact, Turkmenistan sportsmen assured their status as the best ITF Taekwan-do sportsman. In the past for the Continental Top Ranking competed in Nepal in 2014, Charyyev O. also won 5 gold medals, 1 of which was gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals, which ranked him as the Absolute Champion of Asia. In current competition in Almaty he managed to significantly improve awards results.
On the highest step of the podium stood Orazmyrat in the following disciplines as individual duels performed in under 57kg weight category, the individual taolu (complex exercises) and self- defense discipline. Silver medals won in team duels and taolu, participated with him the following sportsmen Rahat Atanyyazov, Orazmuhammet Ustayev, Serdar Gurtgeldiyev and Batyr Annayev.
The gold medal won among the Turkmenistan team Atanyyazov R. This success the student from Mary school №26 achieved in duels performance in less than 45kg weight category with representative of Kazakhstan team. It is noted that neither such factor as native walls nor a huge fans’ support didn’t help the host of the tournament manage to win against strong and thoughtfully built actions of Turkmen team who as a result win a brilliant victory.
Great merits in increasing numbers of awards of Turkmen team in the championship of Asia belongs to Mahri Agayeva, who won 4 medals, two of which were silver, and two bronze medals. Born in Mary region she won second place in individual duels and in self -defense disciplines, and third place in complex exercises and demonstrating special techniques (a high jump stroke)
Two medals in various individual competitions for male group won Annamyrat Goshanyyazov, a military servant (two silver medals), 17 year old Goshanyyaz Durdyyev, (silver and bronze medals) and a student of Turkmen State Institute of Culture Gaigysyz Atabayev (two bronze medals). Each for one bronze medals won athletes from Mary due to team performances in the disciplines special technique, with whom on the highest step of the podium stood Vepa Ovezov. Besides, Ovezov V. won third place in individual performances in under 50 kg weight categories.
Finally, two more bronze medals among Turkmenistan team were awarded to the juniors from Ashgabat Serdar Gurtgeldiyev in complex exercises, Orazmuhammet Ustayev from Balkan region- in duels (under 51kg).
