Among them are the representatives of the Motor Road Corporation, the Institute for Transport and large Korean companies - Hyundai Engineering Co.,Ltd, Daewoo International Corporation, Doosan Heavy Industry, etc.

The meeting participants were unanimous that the state visits of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Seoul in 2008 and President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye to Ashgabat in 2014 had offered a powerful incentive to development of bilateral cooperation. The last meeting focused on the issues of cooperation in the transport sphere in the context of development of the transit and logistics infrastructure along the East-West and North-South lines with the entry to the European and Middle Eastern markets. The President of Turkmenistan noted that our country considered Korea as a promising partner in the frameworks of implementation of the projects in compliance with the Eurasian Initiative of President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye.

This sphere was also considered during the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Seoul in April, 2015. Within the frameworks of the top-level talks, the Turkmen leader emphasized that our country together with neighbouring states created the extensive network of the transport and transit and logistics multinodal infrastructure.

Thus, it is logic that the Ashgabat seminar focused on the terms and criteria of work of transportation carriers, transportation market, prospects and potential of development of international transit transportations in Turkmenistan.

Speaking during the forum, Korean experts underlined that Turkmenistan played an important role in the forming transport system on the continent and forecasted that the meeting in Ashgabat would become another step towards strengthening cooperation and developing transport links in the region. The meeting participants emphasized the high potential and prospects for enhancing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Korea in the context of the open-door policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and widening the trade and economic relations on the regional and global levels.

The forum participants noted that the favourable geographic location of Turkmenistan laid the foundation for our country to become a key intersection of trading routes in the region.

The exchange of views on the strategy of partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea given the ambitious reformatory programmes initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the aim to establish modern transport and communication infrastructure took place during the meeting.

Speaking about the significance of the meeting of specialists and experts to discuss the prospects of development of transport communications in Eurasia, it was noted that the implementation of mutually beneficial projects in this area would offer a powerful impetus to the further integration of the states in the region to the processes of global economic development, would attract more investments and promote effective cooperation in the interests of the countries and peoples of the continent.
