Delegation of Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia at the head of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the region D. Konstantinov arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the events dedicated to the Turkmen Horse Day.
Thanking for cordial welcome, the guests sincerely congratulated the Turkmen parliamentarians on widely celebrated in the country the holiday that symbolizes the continuing adherence of people to their traditions, the preservation of valuable national heritage, a significant part of which are world famous Akhal-Teke horses.
We are very pleased to take part in large-scale celebrations and share this wonderful holiday together with brotherly Turkmen people, - said D. Konstantinov, having noted the spiritual and historical community of ethnically сдщыу Turkmen and Gagauz peoples, their mutual adherence and honoring of centuries-old traditions and customs.
In the course of the meeting, the guests were thoroughly familiar with the structure and trends of legislative activity of the National Parliament. In this context, particular attention was paid to the work of the Parliament in the field of development of international and inter-parliamentary relations.
Representatives of the delegation of ATU Gagauzia, which included the heads of administration, branch departments and enterprises of the region, the National Assembly deputies, having underlined the constructiveness of “open doors” policy pursued by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressed full readiness for activation of productive trade-economic relations, further development of historically established cultural-humanitarian contacts between the two peoples.
Having discussed the prospects of cooperation of the Parliament of Turkmenistan with legislative body of ATU Gagauzia on a number of vital areas, the meeting participants confirmed their mutual interest in further development of a constructive dialogue.
