In the National Tourist Zone "Avaza" is wrapped up the International Conference of entrepreneurs held on the Caspian Sea coast with participation of nearly 140 delegates from about 30 countries, as well as heads and leading specialists of ministries and branch ministries of our country and members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The main theme of the second day of the representative forum was devoted to discussion of the trends of development of international transport infrastructure and logistics. The actuality of this topic is defined in the context of the upcoming Global Conference on sustainable transport system, which would be held in the Turkmen capital. In accordance with the 2015 UN Resolution it assists development of sustainable multilateral transport and transit corridors. As is know, it was the second document on international transport issues, initiated by the Turkmen leader and adopted unanimously at the level of the Community of Nations. The first resolution was passed in 2014. In this connection, it was given a powerful impetus to the partnership of a high-level International Conference on the role of transit and transport corridors to ensure international cooperation, stability and sustainable development. This conference was held in Ashgabat in September 2014.
At the fourth plenary session presented reports and presentations on transport industry development outlooks, as well as realization of projects at national, regional and transcontinental levels. As noted, our country marked this sector as key segments of the economy. In the framework of implementation of a large-scale government programs it is strengthened the material and technical basis of railway, motto, sea, and air transportation.
It is given an important role to foreign economic relations of our country on maritime freight transport. The "Master Plan of the Turkmenbashi international seaport and Turkmen marine merchandized shippings until 2020” was developed, in accordance with the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the shores of the Caspian Sea. It is being built new terminals with multi-functional berths capable to accept ships of any types and any load-carrying ability.
There are great perspectives in terms of attraction of potential leading companies from different countries to develop projects on organization of inter-regional transport and transit corridors along the lines of East-West and South-North, which is aimed at accessing to Asian, European and Middle Eastern markets. In this regard, it is put into operations the steel pipeline Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran. Also it is under construction railway road Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan. Speakers also stressed the importance of the project of creation of international transport and transit corridor Central Asia - Middle East (Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman).
In general, all implemented and designed projects mean to tie up with the transport system in south and east directions, to have access to the powerful economic centers as China and India, countries of Asia-Pacific region. Thus, it means creating new, more large-scale partnership in the spheres of transports and logistics, capable to positively influence to sustainable development of large regions.
During the discussions held in constructive way, representatives of several foreign companies, including German "MTS", Turkish "Uchge" and others familiarized the participants with the activities of their companies and proposed to establish its productive ties. As emphasized, Turkmenistan is a stable country and a reliable partner in the international arena. Forum delegates kindly noted that despite the global financial crisis of recent years, Turkmenistan proved to be a stable and a long term partner.
The representatives of leading foreign companies have expressed willingness to exchange of experiences with the Turkmen colleagues, transfer skills on advanced technologies that will be of great importance for our country. As noted, in terms of logistics, our state may, in addition to oil and gas exports are a major exporter in agricultural sector. In this regard, it was stressed that Turkmen raw materials are of great importance for many countries represented at the forum, including European ones.
While noting the existence of a favorable investment climate created in the country, as noted, having in mind the solid legal basis and full support of the government it is important to strengthen cooperation and to deepen international cooperation in transport and logistics sectors. The effectiveness of this work depends on the joint efforts in development of new mechanisms for solving actual problems in this field.
It was also discussed at the forum the issues of development of tourism industry in our country through the ancient path of the Great Silk Road. Thousand years history and culture of the Turkmen people, a variety of natural landscapes, archaeological sites, such as an ancient Nisa, which is included in the UNESCO List of World Heritage, Merv and Kunyaurgench, and Gonurdepe, a capital of the ancient Margiana, Altyndepe, Parzdepe, Dehistan. All of it attracts many tourists from all over the world.
There are huge opportunities for implementation of various projects on eco-tourism. In this regard, as noted, the uniqueness of the foothills of the Kopet-Dag Mountains, flora and fauna of the Karakum desert, on the bank of the Amu Darya River, Koytendag, and subtropical regions of the south-western parts of our country. Wide prospects are opened up on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, which formed the National Tourist Zone "Avaza" in the past few years. Very attractive the southern boundaries of the Kopetdag Mountains are the land of healing and improving health various sanatoriums. Archman, Bayramali, Mollakara, Yyly suv and other natural sources are considered for its healing properties, which are comparable with the best resorts in the world. In short, it develops in this field market supplies, capital competitions, and conditions for its investment.
Upon completion of the session, it was summarized the work of the International Conference. As noted, the realization of the ideas and proposals made at the forum is intended to let build international business partnership, attracting major investment for a long-term projects, expansion of partnership in the field of entrepreneurship.
