The Auto Racing Cup participants competed in three events - racing on International class karts with the engine capacity of 125 cubic centimeters and Volkicar and Alfa Romeo racing cars. The motorcycle racing tournament participants competed on quad bikes.
Specialists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs won the first places of the motorcycling racing tournament, held in the framework of the sports month under the motto Health and Happiness. Begench Annaev (the Galkan team) won the first place, Bezergen Niyazov (the Kopetdag team) won a silver medal and Merdan Charyev (the Asudalyk sports club of the Ashgabat Police Department) took the third place.
The motorcycling racing competitions became the first steps to revive the old sports traditions. Today, this sport has become very popular due to the support of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who pays significant attention to development of the sports movement in our country.
This is vividly proved by the new sports facility, a part of the complex of the Motorsport Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened recently with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan. There is the special sector supplied with all necessary equipment to host motorsport competitions and trainings.
The multiple champion of Turkmenistan, Candidate Master of Sports Vyacheslav Shkunov (the Galkan team) demonstrated the best results in kart racing. Kurbanberdy Danatarov representing the National Motorsport Centre won the second place and Guvanchmyrat Hommodov representing the Motorsport Centre at the Ministry of Internal Affairs ranked the third.
Bronze winner of the kart racing - G. Hommodov achieved the best results driving the Volkicar racing cars, Parahat Garlyyev representing the Nesil sports club of the Institute of the Ninistry of Internal Affairs took the second place and Gara Garayev (the Hereket team) won the bronze medal.
P. Garlyev representing the Nesil sports club achieved the best results driving the Alfa Romeo racing car, Murad Mahtumov (the Kopetdag team) took the second place and Merdan Charyev (the Nesil team) ranked third.
