These days in Ashgabat, in the framework of a month's campaign for sport was held the first bowling championship in Turkmenistan, the organizer of which was represented National Federation of Bowling which was opened last year. Moreover, in administrative centers of all regions were held taekwondo ITF competitions.
The bowling tournament was taken place in the Trade Center “Berkarar” with participation of over 50 sportsmen representing teams of Akhal, Lebap, Mary regions and the capital. In male group the sportsmen from Ashgabat was taken podium. The first place won Han Hangeldyyev who earned 174 scores, the second place – Serdar Atayev(scored 157) and closed the group of three prize winners, the student of International University of Oil and Gas Merdan Kakayev (scored 136).
In female group all set of medals were awarded the representatives of hosts of the Championship are the students from National Institute of Sport and Tourism. A gold medal won Nasiba Orazmedova (scored 143), a silver medal was awarded Bahargul Orazberdyyeva (scored 98) and a bronze medal received Aina Mammedova (scored 89).
Bowling is a part of the programme of Ashgabat 2017 V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, thus every competition with participation of Turkmen sportsmen is the important step to preparation to “home” Asia, before the start of it, it is left no less than one and a half year. A new sport is swiftly speeding up its popularity in our country. The bowling competition was included into the set of tournament of the national university sports contests.
Currently, Turkmen sportsmen are preparing to education and training team practice session to be held in Antaliya (Turkey). In spring of the next year it will be organized international testing competitions in Ashgabat Olympic Village which will be participated national teams from the countries of Asia and Oceania.
