Traditionally, the competition was consisted of over 600 sportsmen from 10 countries –Russia, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Kazakhstan and etc.
The silver medal, as a member of Turkmen national team, was awarded Perman Ishanov, who performed in the junior group under 68 kg weight categories. The Turkmen sportsman had four competitions, three of which scored victories. Only in final game, P. Ishanov with difference of judges’ opinions gave in to the representatives of the hosts of the competition.
Three bronze medals won Azat Khojadurdyyev (under 55 kg weight categories), Kervengeldi Atajanov (under 61 kg weight categories) who were distinguished in the junior group, and Nagman Khodjamammedov, performed in the group of veterans of this type of martial arts (35-40 years).
In the summer, the Turkmen masters of karate-do are expecting the preparation of one more international tournament which will be held in September in Istanbul (Turkey). And in November in our capital will be held Turkmenistan championship, which will be defined the best champions of 2016 year.
