The forum was organized by the Ministry of Finance jointly with the World Bank with participation of experts from relevant ministries and agencies, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, representatives of International Monetary Fund, International Finance Corporation, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Programme and EU structures.
At the conference it was discussed issues on the advanced world experiences in the field of searching of effective ways in achieving high competitiveness of the economy, methods and indicators of its assessments. They also discussed the current trends in the diversification of Turkmen economy and private sector development in our country.
Among the leading factors of competitiveness of the country noted the legislation improvement, industrial, innovation and investment policy pursued by the Turkmen leader, the internal economic and social stability, reforms in science and education. To gain decent competitive positions in the world a special attention is paid by the Head of our State, which includes the following: human capital development, advanced training of specialists, creating the best conditions for the growth of productivity and living standards.
Certainly, the competitive benefits of our country are abundant natural resources, a favorable geographical position to implement a transit capacity, etc. All of it attracts a lot of attention of foreign partners - the leading foreign companies and investors, allowing Turkmenistan to actively introduce advanced technology, create high-tech enterprises and industries, produce high technology products and develop new markets.
