Officials and specialists of the scientific organizations and centers of the country, teachers and students of the higher educational establishments took part in the forum organized by the National Space Agency at the President of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Education.
In the course of the conference, it was discussed the ways of efficient solution of tasks set by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on activation of scientific researches, including applied aimed at the use of modern information and communication technologies, newest digital systems and engineering solutions in all sectors of the national economy. As it was noted, within the framework of implemented today in Turkmenistan national development programs, a key role is attached to the innovation economy based on in-depth theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience reflected in efficient technologies. As a result of the comprehensive modernization and diversification of the scientific-technical infrastructure, the application of advanced equipment and innovations in the country, it is successfully operated an extensive communication system, television and radio communications, digital broadcasting, and it is gradually introduced the system of electronic flow of documents.
In this context, the main theme of the forum became the expansion of spheres of use of national communication satellite “TürkmenÄlem 52 ° E”. During the view exchange, the specialists have discussed various aspects of use of modern satellite technologies, the issues of technical and information support of the national satellite communications system, its importance and opportunities in terms of organization of the transit telecommunication services. Separate reports were devoted to the role of Turkmenistan as a new operator of satellite communications in the Central Asia, and therefore, it was also considered the issues of international cooperation in this direction.
