Nearly four hundred volunteers – the students of the educational establishments of Turkmenistan became the participants of the special conference

The event was a joint initiative of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the State Committee on sports, the Executive Committee of the AIMAG 2017 and the National Institute of Sports and Tourism (NIST).

As stressed by the head of the Volunteers center of the NIST Enejan Muhammedova, issues related to preparations for the 5th Asian indoors and martial arts Games were discussed within the forum frameworks. In particular, reports were made on the work of volunteers university centers in the context of the tasks, assigned to these public student associations. Representatives of higher educational establishments reported on ongoing activities, including the competitive character, organized in order to study the international experience of the volunteer movement.

In the center of attention it was also the issues related to language training of volunteers, both on the basis of the higher educational establishments as well as directly at the Institute of Sports and Tourism, where it was organized a special course on the English language learning, which is conducted by three specialists from the United States.

Within the framework of conference, it was analyzed the training of volunteers in test competitions of the Asian Championship on Sambo and Combat sambo to be held in the near future in the capital’s Olympic Village.

Particular attention was also paid to such task as the holding under the aegis of the national volunteer movement of sports competitions on the basis of Children’s Health Centers located in different parts of our country. Within the last two years, such practice is carried out by volunteers from the sports and tourist higher educational establishment, involvement of schoolchildren in active training in sports, who spend summer vacation holidays in Children’s Health Centers of Gokdere.

Representatives of the Volunteers Center of NIST, having familiarized their colleagues from other higher educational institutions with the target program of sports and recreation activities, invited them to join this work, making their contribution to the implementation of the national strategy on development of children’s sports movement.
