In the Tournament devoted to the Victory Day, it was competed for the medals in two disciplines - race with the separate start held on Kopetdag highway, and shootout race (the Motorsports Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs).
More than 50 sportsmen, representing the teams of Ashgabat and provinces of the country took part in the competitions. The distance of races with separate start was 21 kilometers. In junior group, the fastest in this distance was Saylav Gylyjov from team of School of higher sports skill, who has far come off the basic group of the lap, having shown brilliant result - 35 minutes 25 seconds. His classmate - Mukam Agayev, who won the second place, has conceded to the winner more than seven minutes. A bronze medal belonged to Kemal Rejepov from team of the capital School of young Olympians.
In male group – “gold” was gained by Kakabay Atayev (School of higher sports skill), who overcame 21-kilometer distance within 33.06 minutes. The representative of the team of the National Technical Centre - Iner Jumayev (33.53 minutes) raised the second step of a podium and Orazmuhammed Nurmedov from Dashoguz province (35.04 minutes) closed the top three winners.
In shootout race in junior group, the gold award was won again by S. Gylyjov, and K. Rejepov - became the third. Saparmammed Saparov (School of young Olympians) this time finished the second.
The main prize in male group was gained by the team of Dashoguz province: the victory was won by Faruh Jumayev. His namesake - Iner Jumayev became the owner of “bronze”, and the title of the vice-champion was won by Babageldy Seyitnazarov from School of the higher sports skill.
This spring, the indoor cycle track of the Olympic Village hosted the first national competitions, and in summertime, it becomes a place for active trainings of our sportsmen. At the end of the year, here it is also planned to hold the first international test competitions, which will gather the strongest cycle racers from the countries of Asia and Oceania.
