The football players of Ashgabat’s «Altyn Asyr» made another step towards the championship, increasing the gap up to 5 points from their closest rival - "Ahal".
It became known following the results of the 10th round, in which “Ahal” could not beat the last-placed “Energetik” in Mary - 0: 0, extending the winning streak to four matches, and “Altyn Asyr” took over in Ashgabat over “Shagadam” from Turkmenbashi city - 1: 0.
The victory for the reigning champion of Turkmenistan did not come easily. At the end of half an hour of the game, the guests missed a great chance to open an account: the forward "Shagadam" went one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but could not hit the ball on target.
10 minutes before the break, the hosts still scored a goal, but it was rightly canceled due to a violation of the rules of Merdan Mukhadov in the fight against the defender of the guests.
The fate of the meeting was decided in the second half by the individual qualities of Murad Annayev. In the 66th minute, he grabbed the ball on the left flank, went with it to the center to the opponent's penalty area and shot straight into the goal from 18 meters.

After this match, «Altyn Asyr», extending the winning streak to six matches, has 24 points. The teams following it, «Ahal» and «Shagadam» have 19 and 17 points, correspondingly.
Ashgabat’s «Kopetdag» gained 14 points, which thanks to the efforts of Begench Akmamedov in the 51st minute, beat «Nebitchi» in Balkanabat – 1:0 and came close to the top three.
In one more match of the 10th round "Merv" at home inflicted a sensitive defeat on "Ashgabat" - 4: 0. For the winners, Begench Alamov scored a double (21st minute from penalty and 59th minute) excelled Pirmurad Gazakov (47th minute) and Mukam Nazziyev (90 + 3).
After this victory, «Merv» with 10 points moved to the fifth place. The sixth-ranked "Nebitchi" has the same points. "Ashgabat" with 9 points remained on the seventh line in the standings.
