This is bright and exciting moment proceeded by stormy joyful emotions on one hand and sad feelings of leaving wonderful and unique school years, favourite teachers and the best friends, on the other hand.

Today, secondary school is fully set by modern technology and teaching methods at the level of high world standards, which serves to train intellectually developed young people on one hand, and serves as the basis for ultimate realization of intellectual potential of the nation on other hand. Comprehensive educational institutions of Turkmenistan impose all to develop growing generation’s versatile talents and aptitudes, sport interests, and professional formation.
Quality modernization of educational sphere imposes actual innovations of the school programme. In addition to current basic subjects the programme includes the new subjects which are the following: Basis of Economy, Cultural Heritage of Turkmenistan, World Culture, Modelling and Graphics, informative communication and innovation technologies. To prepare highly skilled cadres for different sectors of national economy are considered by establishing specialized secondary schools with comprehensive focus on chemistry, biology and other subjects.
Decision to broaden up the spectrum of learning foreign languages at schools due to active expansion of geography and dynamic of development of multi-dimensional international cooperation is the next important step in this area. There are operating successfully specialized schools with emphasis in acceleration learning of English, French, and German languages. The secondary schools specialized in Chinese and Japanese languages will be opened in the new future. The first Turkmen – Japanese secondary school under University of Technologies named after Oguzhan is now being constructed in the capital city, which will play an important role in preparation of engineering and technical personnel needed for realization of large-scale plans for further industrialization of the country.
One of the obvious results of innovative transformations initiated by the Head of the State in educational sphere is the annual victory of Turkmen pupils on reputable international competitions in various disciplines. This year, out of 51 medals- 14 golden, 14 silver and 23 bronze prizes were awarded our talented children on the 12th International Olympiad in Kazakhstan, International Sustainable World Project Olympiad in Houston (USA), the 50th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (Russia), the 10th International Young Inventors Project Olympiad IYIPO-2016 (Georgia) and many others. Among the winners there are 19 graduates of the current year.
Today, the prize winners of Intellectual Contests in 2015 – 2016 academic year became the main heroes whom were paid honours on occasion of graduation of school.
Early in the morning, according to good tradition, the best school graduates took part in laying the flowers to the grand monuments.
At the ceremonial lines, boys and girls with symbolical “golden key” were passing the baton of knowledge onto the youngest generations, tomorrow’s first grade pupils. After ceremonial process, the graduate pupils walked along the avenues, squares, parks and public gardens of cities and towns. On this occasion, there were mass celebrations and concert performances.
The culmination of the celebrations in honor of Ashgabat Day, and completion of academic year 2015 – 2016 was the concert in “Arkadag” City Park, which was ended with awarding ceremony presenting gifts on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to the best graduate pupils from velayats and Ashgabat city
