On December 14, 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a round-table meeting dedicated to the results of the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on December 10, as well as the international conference “Politics of Peace and Trust - the Basis of International Security, Stability and Development” held in the Turkmen capital on December 11.

The heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan accredited in foreign countries took part in the meeting.

The meeting agenda focused on the Final Document adopted at the international conference.

Participants of the high-level forum in Ashgabat supported the proposal of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on promoting the Global Initiative "Dialogue - Guarantee of Peace", which is aimed at uniting the efforts of the international community in strengthening the traditions of peaceful coexistence of peoples, the comprehensive development of a culture of peace and trust in international relations.

Those speaking during the meeting emphasized the necessity to create mechanisms to ensure the youth’s participation in promoting the culture of peace, in order to deepen the understanding of values such as peace, trust, tolerance, openness, inclusiveness and mutual respect.

It was especially noted that the development of the culture of peace and trust in relations between states was inextricably linked with the policy of neutrality as a value that contributes to sustainable development, peace and security by strengthening solidarity and harmony.

The participants in the current meeting expressed their support to the initiatives put forward during the international conference.
