In the course of the meeting, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations, including in the field of regional security, in trade-economic, fuel-energy spheres, in transport and other sectors.

In the context of realization of large regional projects – the construction of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan railway, the sides have discussed in detail the issues of interaction on development of transnational energy and transport-communication infrastructure. It was also held the view exchange on possibilities of activation of cooperation of two countries in humanitarian sphere, in particular, in education and public health.

Following the meeting, it was held the press conference, which was attended by foreign journalists accredited to Turkmenistan and representatives of mass media of our country.

Within the framework of the visit in Turkmenistan, the head of the IRA delegation, Deputy Foreign Minister Hikmat Khalil Karzai will hold meetings at the Ministries of Energy, Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Education.
