The 29th Turkmenistan Football Championship finished in Turkmenistan; 8 teams competed for medals in double-round system of tournament.
The final, 14th round of championship, where the bronze medal winner was determined, was небогатым на голы: 6 goals in 4 matches.
According to Rules, all matches of the final round began at the same time. The bronze medals winner was determined in the match between «Shagadam» and «Ashgabat» и «Enerketik» – «Kopetdag», which were held in Turkmenbashi and Mary, correspondingly.
The team of the MIA of Turkmenistan, which lagged behind “Shagadam” by two points, could count on bronze in case of victory over “Enerketik” with the obligatory defeat of sea siders by “Ashgabat”. And “Kopetdag” coped with its task, scoring a goal in each half against “Enerketik”. Ovezbay Muhamedmuradov (23rd minute) and Ihlas Saparmamedov (57the minute) scored the goals.
In match held parallelly in Turkmenbashi city between «Shagadam» and «Ashgabat» events developed as follows. In 68th minute Kerim Hojaberdiyev вывел хозяев вперёд – 1:0. And in 5th minute compensated to the main time of the game Kurbangeldy Sahedov from penalty won back a goal and the meeting ended in a draw – 1:1.
After these matches, «Shagadam» and «Kopetdag» have same points - 23, as a result, for the first time in the Turkmenistan Football Championship, the bronze medals winner was determined on additional indices. In the matches between each other, both teams have by one victory: in the first round won «Shagadam» – 3:1, in the second - «Kopetdag» – 2:1.
The next index – according to the number of victories – «Shagadam» has one victory more. This index became decisive in the bronze medal winner determining.
«Shagadam» under the leadership of the chief coach Rahman Bayliyev became the six-time bronze medal winner in the national championship. Eerlier, such success the team from Turkmenbashi reached in 2003, 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2020. Once, in 2002 – «Shagadam» became the champion of Turkmenistan.
In two another matches of 14th round held in the capital by one goal were scored. On the central arena of the multi-purpose stadium “Ashgabat” многоthe players of «Ahal» tanks to the effors of Meylis Diniyev (12th minute) won «Merv» – 1:0, and on «Sport toplumy» stadium in Buzmeyin etrap «Altyn Asyr» with the same score won «Nebitchi». A winning goal in the team of «Turkmenaragatnashyk» team scored Begenchmurad Muradov in the 15th minute.
Let us recall, «Ahal» and «Altyn Asyr» won ahead of time silver and gold medals, correspondingly. «Ahal» became six-time vice-champion, and «Altyn Asyr» - eight-time champion.
Among top five teams is «Merv» with 17 points. «Ashgabat» and «Nebitchi» scored by 13 points. But due to better goal difference «Ashgabat» took sixth place, and «Nebitchi» – seventh. «Enerketik» closed the standings with 5 points.
The leading scorer became the captain of «Ahal» Elman Tagayev, who scored 10 goals (6 – from penalty). Top three “snipers” are: Kurbangeldy Sahedov («Ashgabat») – 8 goals (4 – from penalty) and Begench Alamov («Merv») – 7 goals (5 – from penalty).
