UNDP organized the online seminar on involving youth to activity to prevent violent extremism for the students and lecturers of the higher educational institutions of our country.
The event was organized within the framework of the Country component of global project: “Strengthening resilience to prevent violent extremism in Asia (STRIVE Asia) Joint EU-UN Partnership”. The project is implemented by UNDP and countries of the Central Asia at the financial support of the European Union.
The representatives of the respective ministries, public organizations of Turkmenistan took part in the event.

The main purpose of the STRIVE Asia project – to promote prevention of the violent extremism in the Central, Southeast and South Asia through government, local governments, civil society, academia, the private sector through a multi-stakeholder approach.
In this regard, the participants got a broad understanding of the role of youth in the formation of an inclusive society, got acquainted with the relevant terms that they may encounter in the process of implementing the program.
