The teams of the Central and South zones qualifying, where the team from Turkmenistan will play, will compete in Kyrgyzstan for spot in final part of Futsal Asian Cup 2022. 

The opponents of the Turkmen futsalers in the qualifying tournament will be determined on the results of draw, which will be held on 6 January, 2022 in the AFC headquarter in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). On the eve of draw the Asian Football Confederation announced the pot composition, from which two groups will be formed by 4 teams in each.

Pot composition is as follows:

Pot 1: Iran, Uzbekistan.

Pot 2: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan.

Pot 3: Turkmenistan, Afghanistan.

Pot 4: Nepal, Maldives.

Thus, Turkmenistan team will not play in the qualifying tournament with the team from Afghanistan, which is also in the third pot.  

The qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup 2022 will be held between April 1-15, 2022. Best two teams from each group will advanced to the final part of competition.

The final stage of the Asian Cup 2022, where top 16 futsal teams of confederation will play, will take part between 25 September – 20 October, 2022 in Kuwait.
