The contest is held annually by the Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly is cooperation with the Academy of Sciences. A growing number of participants are taking part each year. If last year it was 897 contestants, then in current year the contest’s participants were 955 young talents, among which were 272 scientists, and 683 students and pupils.
Drafts and research papers are presented to expert committee’s consideration under six categories, which include current trends of modern science. It consists of nanotechnology, chemical technologies, study of new materials, energy; biotechnology, molecular biology, agriculture, environment, and genetics; information and communications systems, computer technology; medicine and technology of production of medicines; innovative economy; humanitarian sciences.
The expert committee selected the winners based on the assessed themes of modern trends of research works, its practical significance of results and prospects of its application in the industry production, the degree of scientific novelty.
The ceremony honoring the winners of the contests among youth attended the scientific members of the government, heads of ministries and branch ministries, higher educational institutions of the country, scientists, representatives of non-profit organizations, faculty members and university students, doctoral students and post-graduate student of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Among the honored guests of the event were the participants of International Scientific Conference "Science, technique and innovation technology in the era of power and happiness", which opened today at the Center of Technology of the Academy of Science of Turkmenistan.
The winners of the youth scientific contests on behalf of the head of state were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.
In the new era, when expanding opportunities for scientific creativity, accelerated exchange of information it was established close contacts with leading research and educational centers of the world. Our country has become a major center of international conferences and exhibitions, talented young people are actively involved in research activities representing Turkmenistan to prestigious scientific forums.
To testify - 51 medals of international subject and project Olympiads among pupils of secondary schools of the country and 8 medals are among university students who have taken part in international competitions.
Demonstration of creative strives of young talents in the fields of science and new technologies have demonstrated the exhibition widely displaying their work in the lobby of the university. The exposition includes book editions and collections of scientific works, as well as models of various devices and inventions in the field of renewable energy sources and innovative technologies in chemical production, construction materials, silicon from the Karakum sands, the latest developments of drugs from plants growing in Turkmenistan and others.
The range of creative search of the contest’s winners was demonstrated a collection of their works "Steps in science of young scientists of a happy era" prepared by the Central Council of Youth Organization named after Magtymguly. The publication presents the results of scientific research and practical developments of young scientists and students, whose enthusiasm will certainly contribute to further progress and prosperity of the Motherland.
